Caramelized Onions

  • 1 Oz unsalted butter
  • 1 1/4 Tbsp oil
  • 2 medium onions , peeled and cut into thin rings
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar , approximately
Heat butter and oil in a heavy nonstick pan over low heat. Add onions and cook 10 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until onions are dark golden. Serve hot, drizzled with a little balsamic vinegar.
